Partner Feature: University of Kansas

The University of Kansas, affectionately known as KU, is a top research and academic institution with 2,000 international students from all over the world calling it home. The flagship campus is located in Lawrence, Kansas, a city bustling with students and the attractions they love - historic Mass Street, local restaurants, breweries, wineries, coffee shops, art galleries, and music venues.

Aside from a perfect university town, KU offers top academics, research, and internships for their 28,500 students. At KU, you have the opportunity to pursue one of 2,000 Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s, or Doctorate Degrees, and study at their incredible Applied English Center, one of the very first intensive English programs in the United States.

Accessible English courses

Want to know something incredible for incoming international students? KU is currently offering online courses to orient new students and improve their English before they arrive on campus. Speaking of online, you can take a virtual tour of campus from home to get a good sense of the campus since we know not everyone is able to travel to campus before applying or admittance.

Even though full proficiency in English is not required for admission to KU, you’ll still need to take an English language exam (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.), submitting the minimum proficiency test scores. (Agave can help with that!) What’s even more exciting? The Applied English Center offers a variety of options to improve your English language skills before and upon arrival to campus.

Your academic priorities

Not only does KU feature top programs in Engineering, Business, Journalism, and Architecture, they also offer majors that are super unique. For example, Architectural Engineering, Molecular Biotechnology, Digital Electronic Systems, Visual Communication Design, Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Computational Physics and more! You will definitely find the right program for you, and maybe even find a program you didn’t even know existed.

The University of Kansas is a great choice for students because it offers top-quality academics in a student-friendly city, allowing you to pursue your personal and educational passions.
